We can’t begin to describe the number of times the “candle” has been burned at both ends in our profession. The meetings, supervisory duties, conferences, endless conversations, the micro managing and the manipulation from various constituents can hinder progress or at least the pursuit of excellence.
But, if we can slow down and reevaluate purpose, intent and our moral compass. Imagine if we could go back to the epicenter of what makes a good school, great classrooms, phenomenal teaching and students eager to come and “pick up what the teachers are putting down.”
This is where we need to be. Let’s slow down and be great.
