Dr. Darryl S. Diggs Jr. is an educator advocating for diversity and inclusion in education. He is the Executive Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility for the Special School District of St. Louis County. Dr. Diggs is a passionate leader committed to creating a more equitable and inclusive learning environment for all students.
With over 18 years of experience in education. Dr. Diggs’ career began as a middle school teacher in St. Louis and has served as a high school assistant principal, middle school principal, and then assistant director of DEI. In his current role, as Executive Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility, Dr. Diggs oversees the district’s DEI initiatives and projects, including professional learning for staff, student training, and support for all St. Louis County school districts.
Dr. Diggs is a frequent speaker at education conferences and events. He is also serves as the Vice President of Diversity and Workforce Readiness for SHRM of Greater St. Louis. Dr. Diggs received the honor of being the St. Louis Business Journals 40 Under 40 Award, Missouri Baptist University recipient of the Alumni Vocational Excellence Award, and the North County Leadership Inc. Award.
